Why us?

House Nine strives to create a circular, team-based, and holistic employment experience that is enriching for all involved. We work collaboratively together to reach not only our collective goals but also each individual’s personal aspirations. This approach fosters a supportive environment where everyone feels valued and empowered in their contributions.

Team Based Pay

We aim to develop our books as a collective rather than solely on an individual basis. Team goals are the priority, while individual goals are secondary.

Our bar is set high. We expect every team member to work diligently and strive to expand their skill sets beyond just bodywork techniques. We firmly believe that individuals should be compensated for the full range of contributions they offer, not solely for the work their hands can accomplish. Each person brings unique value that deserves recognition and reward.

By promoting a positive work environment and showing strong teamwork, you can position yourself for raises that acknowledge your contributions to the studio. This approach emphasizes not just technical expertise but also the value of attitude and collaboration.

Grow in your career.

We deeply value our employees as WHOLE individuals, seeing them as more than just professionals who can perform massage therapy. We provide every team member with a holistic and personalized growth path that is thoughtfully tailored to their unique goals and interests. Recognizing that physical and mental burnout are widespread challenges in our industry, we are committed to teaching a range of skills that opens up career opportunities beyond the limitations of what our hands can do.

House Nine is filled with greenery with various potted houseplants, including succulents and leafy plants, arranged on a wooden shelf near a large window with natural light.

House Nine FAQs

  • We take our time to make sure we are a perfect fit. We have four interviews in total, including a questionnaire, phone, in-person, and technical evaluation.

  • A team-based model is not for everyone. In a team environment, success is often shared. This can mean splitting responsibilities like managing clients, addressing issues, and handling unexpected challenges. If you enjoy contributing to the group’s success and can handle shared responsibilities without feeling overwhelmed, a team position might be ideal. If you value collaboration, open communication, and shared responsibility, a team-based employee role in the wellness industry could be a fulfilling career choice. However, if you prefer independence, solo work, or a less growth-oriented position, you may want to consider how well a team-oriented environment fits your preferences.

  • Absolutely not.
